Aussie Millions 2008 Team

Having started playing poker only ten months ago, Augusto has already achieved considerable success. He started playing because “I have always liked to play card games and a friend of mine made me understand that in order to start playing poker there was no need for any initial investment… and that from scratch we could achieve an acceptable amount of money… I loved that idea and thus I started playing.” Now, the engineer mostly plays online and favours No Limit Texas Holdem. His biggest poker success was finishing in the money at the 2007 PokerNews Cup Australia. He later told himself, “soon I’ll be back, this wasn’t my last chance.” Sure enough, it was a mere 8 weeks later that Augusto won himself a $12,500 Aussie Millions Freeroll package - ensuring his return to Australia once again. When he received the good news, the Portugal native started “running and yelling all over the house” before picking up the phone and sharing the good news with his friends. When he is not busy at the tables, Augusto also enjoys basketball, music and going to the beach.
