David Wyatt started playing poker five years ago. “I used to play cards off and on with friends but the World Poker Tour TV shows convinced me to play more seriously… It was great to find a casino game where I had a chance of winning.” David admits to mostly playing poker online as there are many advantages including “better rake, no dealer mistakes, multi table options and Poker Tracker.” His current favourite poker game is No Limit Texas Holdem. When asked if he prefers more tournaments or ring games, the Australian admits, “I enjoy tourneys but the luck factor in the short term tilts me” and prefers the consistency of cash games. His biggest poker success to date is winning a $50k online tourney. When he found out he had won a $12,500 Aussie Millions Freeroll, David was, “super excited [and] after a long heads up battle it was a relief and a thrill.” He proceeded to celebrate by going “out for dinner with my lovely partner Cindy.” David has had experience playing in a major poker tournament when he played in last year’s Aussie Millions. “I made the second day but not the money… Hopefully this year will be better.” Stay tuned to PokerNews.Com to see how David and the rest of Team PokerNews fare at the 2008 Aussie Millions in Melbourne.
