Michael Wolf started playing poker two years ago because he “always had fun playing cards.” The private detective now plays poker both live and online and favours ring games over tournaments. His current favourite styles of poker is No Limit Texas Holdem and Pot Limit Omaha. Michael’s biggest poker success to date was when he “played Heads Up against Phil Ivey at the Full Tilt Euro Million Challenge and won.” When he found out he had won a $12,500 Aussie Millions Freeroll, he “couldn’t believe it until the chips were all on my stack at the last hand… then I was so happy because I’ve worked so hard to get better and better at poker.” He celebrated his win by “screaming and didn’t care that it was already 6am on a Sunday morning.” The German is a poker fanatic and considers his hobbies to be “poker, studying poker and playing more poker.” He is also the host for a German poker website which brings news and events to German readers around the world. It has always been a life long dream for Michael to visit Australia and so he is understandably excited about his upcoming trip. We wish Michael and the rest of Team PokerNews the very best of luck at the 2008 Aussie Millions.
