With customer support available in 15 languages (including French, Japanese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, Spanish, English, Polish, Greek and Finnish), Everest poker is an online poker room that claims to be the first multi-national and multi-lingual online poker destination.
Everest has come a long way since the launch of their poker room and is today the 6th largest poker room in the world with some 10,000 players logged in during peak times and this as a standalone poker room, not connected to any of the bigger networks.
During 2007 Everest Poker was awarded "Poker Operator of the Year" and "Hotshot Operator of the Year" at the eGaming Review Awards and more recently, Everest Poker has signed an agreement with Harrah's Entertainment Inc, that incorporates satellite rights and brand placement throughout the World Series of Poker, including branding on the feature table.
Limits and Rake
At Everest Poker you can find both Texas Hold em and Omaha being played. Games can be found from micro limits $0.02/$0.02 up to $10/$10 for No Limit Holdem, $10/$20 for Fixed Limit and $1/$1 for Pot Limit. When it comes to Omaha, it can also be found from the same micro limit, $0.02/$0.02 and then increases on a steady level up to $20/$20 for Pot Limit and $30/$60 for Fixed Limit.
The rake at Everest Poker is similar to what the rest of the industry takes. The size of the rake is based on both what level is being played and how many players are involved in the pot. At Pot/No Limit, below $0.1/$0.1, the rake is $0.01 per $0.20 in the pot with a cap at $1 for 2-3 players, $2 for 4-5 players and $3 for 6-10 players. Above the $0.2/$0.2 level Everest Poker takes $0.05 per $1 in the pot as rake but with the same cap based on the number of players as above. For Fixed limit and its lower levels, the Everest Poker rake is capped at $0.1 for 2-3 players, $0.25 for 4-5 players and $0.5 for 6-10 players. Games above the $0.1/$0.2 limit, the rake is capped at $1 for 2-3 players, $2 for 4-5 players and $3 for 6-10 players.
