Kenny Tran Eliminated in 10th Place ($22,257)

After a flop of {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Kenny Tran checked from the big blind, Steve Paul-Ambrose bet 30,000, Tran raised to 60,000, Ambrose reraised to 90,000, and Tran called.

The turn card was the {A-Hearts}. Tran checked, Ambrose bet 60,000, and Tran called.

The river card was the {2-Spades}. Tran checked, Ambrose bet 60,000, and Tran had just 40,000 left -- he was facing a decision with his tournament on the line. And he really took his time, even with several hundred thousand already in the pot. The players, crowd, and media were silent, but excitedly gathered around the table waiting for a decision.

Tran eventually called. Ambrose quickly showed {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, and Tran immediately mucked. Ambrose won the hand, and Kenny Tran was eliminated in tenth place, earning $22,257.

The final nine players are set for tomorrow's ESPN final table. Stay tuned for official chip counts.

    Kenny Tran's Laydown

With some preflop raising, Kenny Tran made it 98,000, and then Fred Berger bet enough behind him to put Tran all in. Everyone else folded, and Tran went into the tank for several long minutes. There wasn't much movement or talking at the table, and Tran wasn't studying Berger -- he appeared to just be contemplating the decision within himself.

Tran finally folded, and Berger showed pocket aces. Tran reached into the muck to show that he folded pocket queens.

Slow Action on the TV Bubble

With an appearance on ESPN at stake, the final ten players have slowed down considerably. Of course, ten-handed play is much different than five- or six-handed play. But play could continue for another ten minutes or another two hours.
