Fight For Your Right!

During the last level, Nolan Dalla introduced Congressman Robert Wexler to the crowd playing on day 1d of the Main Event. Congressman Wexler has been working with the Poker Players Alliance, specifically President Michael Bolcerek and Chairman and former Senator Alfonse D'Amato, to adjust the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) that made it illegal for U.S. banks to complete transactions with online gaming sites. That makes it much harder for Americans to add funds to (and withdraw funds from) their online poker accounts.

If you wish to join Congressman Wexler and the PPA in their fight to get online poker back to the way it used to be, check out www.pokerplayersalliance.org . Membership is free, so poker fans should sign up to join the fight. They also offer information on how to contact your local officials and representatives.

PokerNews Video has scheduled interviews with both Congressman Wexler (today) and Alfonse D'Amato (tomorrow) to discuss the current state of online poker, as well as what we can all do to help. Stay tuned to PokerNews Video to check it out.
