Two Days Down, One Very Long One to Go

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

With the elimination of Chau Giang in 27h place on the very last hand of the night, Day 2 has come to an end. The field has consolidated to three tables. Tomorrow 26 survivors will return at 3pm to play down to a winner. It will be a very, very long day.

Play started today with Oleg Shamardin as chip leader and plenty of pros left in the hunt. It took more than half the day to burst the money bubble. Shamardin did make it to the money, but didn't go all that deep, finishing in 59th place. Other notables that made the money include Andy Black (77th), Steve Sung (66th), Todd Brunson (52nd), Jim Collopy (49th), Allen Kessler (39th) and Brock Parker (35th).

There one November Niner (Ylon Schwartz) and five former bracelet winners still in the field and eyeing a seat at the final table. Those five include Huck Seed, David Bach, Dan Heimiller, Jeff Madsen and Anthony Reategui. They'll be chasing overnight chip leader Sasha Rosewood, who will un-bag 399,000 chips when blinds go up to 4,000 and 8,000 (8,000 and 16,000 limits) at the start of play tomorrow.

Hopefully the last 26 will rest up overnight. It will be a very, very, VERY long Day 3 tomorrow. PokerNews will be there with all the live updates from start to finish.

Until then, you can find us at the bar.
