Day 1b Comes to a Close with Rossiter Topping the Pack

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Ferguson the only Team Full Tilt member moving on from Day 1b

The second flight of action for the 2011 Aussie Millions Main Event is in the books after 209 more runners joined the action, all for the cool price of AUD$10,000. After the first seven levels of play, under 80 of them remained. Heading the pack from Day 1b is Jeff Rossiter with 154,900 in chips.

Some of the other notables wrapping up the day with large stacks were Martin Drewe (136,100), Jay Kinkade (128,700), Jeff Sarwer (120,500), Randy Lew (119,000), and Gavin Griffin (101,700) while Grant Levy, Eric Assadourian, Evan Panesis and former Aussie Millions champion Lee Nelson will join them on Day 2.

Yesterday, Full Tilt Poker players held themselves a solid day and finished with their tag on the top four chip counts. Today, things didn't go too well for the team. David Oppenheim, Annette Obrestad, Carlos Mortensen, David Benyamine, Andrew Feldman and Steve Yea were all Red Pros that hit the rail while Team Full Tilt Poker members Andy Bloch and Gus Hansen were eliminated as well. Not all is lost from the team though on Day 1b, as Scott Montgomery finished with 49,200, Chris Ferguson with 45,400 and Roland de Wolfe with 26,100.

The third and final starting day kicks off on Tuesday at 12:30 P.M. local time here in Melbourne and once again the beautiful Crown Casino will be the host to all the action. Be sure to return right here to PokerNews to follow all of the action as we bring it to you live from the floor!

Broadway for Judah

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Mel Judah pushed his last 3,400 in from the hi-jack and the small blind made the call.

Judah: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board rolled out {2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} to see Judah river Broadway to double to 8,400.

Capra Doubles

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Andras Kovacs opened to 2,000 from under the gun with Sam Capra defending his big blind to see a {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

Capra checked and Kovacs fired out a bet only to have Capra move all in for roughly 21,000. Kovacs called to put the 2009 final tablist at risk.

Capra: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Kovacs: {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

With Capra needing to fade diamonds or running kings or cards to fill a straight, the turn and river landed running jacks to see Capra double through to 45,000 in chips.
