Jaka On the Move

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

A player under the gun opened with a raise to 1,700, the cutoff called, then Faraz Jaka reraised to 6,100 from the big blind. The original raiser folded, and the cutoff called.

The flop came {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Jaka bet 5,800 and his opponent called. The turn was the {10-Spades}. Jaka bet again, 9,500 this time, and again his opponent called.

The river brought the {2-Clubs}, putting a second pair on the board, and both players checked quickly. Jaka tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and his opponent mucked.

The table broke at the completion of the hand, leaving Jaka alone to stack up his newly won chips. Jaka, who finished third in this same event in 2009, is carrying nearly 80,000 chips to his new table.
