The $100K Super High Roller Champ Doesn't Find Main Event Success

Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

Yesterday Scott Seiver took down the 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller for $2,003,480. Needless to say, we're sure he's not too upset with his recent elimination from the Main Event.

We didn't see the hand happen, but Jonathan Aguiar, who was seated to Seiver's right, was kind enough to fill us in. According to him, Seiver raised holding {2-}{2-} and then called off his 20-big-blind stack when an opponent raised with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. The {10-Hearts}{8-}{8-Hearts} flop was dangerous to Seiver as it gave his opponent the nut-flush draw and counterfeit options to go with his overs. The {6-} turn was of no particular interest, but the {4-Hearts} river was as it ended up being the last card Seiver would see here on Day 1b.

"He's still never made Day 2 of the PCA Main Event," Aguiar added, much to the amusement of neighbor Andy Frankenberger.
