Freddy's Back

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Freddy Deeb, who has accumulated one the largest stacks we've seen so far, disappeared during the last level. He returned to the table after dinner, however, and is picking up right where he left off: taking chips.

We arrived at the table on the turn with Deeb on the button and the board reading {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Deeb and the small blind were the only players with cards, and Deeb called his opponent's bet of 1,000. The small blind bet another 1,000 when the {9-Hearts} completed the board on the river, and Deeb called again. His opponent tabled {a-}{j-} for send pair, but Deeb showed {k-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a winning top pair. Deeb raked in the pot and continues to build his stack.
