North Tonawanda's Joseph D'Antuono took down the 2015 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam $25,000 Guaranteed Event #3: $50 No-Limit Hold'em Reentry at the Niagara Falls Poker Room inside the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel Thursday.

With six starting flights over the past three days the event drew 961 entries, obliterating the guarantee with a $38,400 prizepool that paid 54 spots. As expected, the event drew a ton of local poker talent and recreational players alike, firing multiple bullets for a shot at a five figure score for only $50.

The poker room has been alive with action for the past three days and by all accounts the event was a smashing success.

The final day started with 123 players returning for a shot at the title and the money Thursday. After firing six-bullets, D'Antuono came in with a relatively short stack he earned on his second go round, moving up the leader board through the first half of the day on a wave of good cards that included getting big slick four times to drag pots.

Once they got in the money and the field dwindled in size, he grabbed the chip lead off fellow big stack Emmanuel Santos, who ran kings into D'Antuono's aces. D'Antuono's run good continued at the final table when he busted the dangerous and stacked Alex Rivera, flopping trip tens and holding against a flush draw.

By the time they got four handed, D'Antuono was firmly in the lead, agreeing to take $6,351 for first in a four-way chop with Nick DiPalma ($5,136), David Battaglia ($4,661) and Todd Sanney Jr ($4,170).

The 2015 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam continues with the $600 Main Event set to beginning Friday at 11 a.m. local time with the first of two Day 1 starting flights.

Joseph D'Antuono made it 145,000 and Alex Rivera defended his big blind before checking the {10-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop.

D'Antuono led out, Rivera insta-shoved and D'Antuono beat him to the pot with a call, holding {10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Trips held against Rivera's {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flush draw on the {K-Diamonds} turn and {a-Spades} river to send him out eighth.

Todd Sanney Jr doubled up back into contention right after losing that massive hand to Nick DiPalma.

He flopped an open-ender against Alex Rivera's top-pair top-kicker, then made a bigger pair on the turn, got it in, and held.

DiPalma Doubles

Nick DiPalma limped and Todd Sanney Jr bumped it to 175,000.

Dipalma made the call, then checked the {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. Sanney led for 200,000 and DiPalma shipped it in. Sanney made the quick call with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and was well ahead of DiPalma's {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

However, the {a-Spades} turn and {5-Clubs} river changed everything as DiPalma made a miraculous wheel and doubled into a spot among the leaders, leaving Sanney to rebuild.
