    Sarah Bilney Eliminated

Damien Oborne and Sarah Bilney have just clashed in a classic race with Oborne's {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} up against the Q-Q of Bilney. The board of {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} gave Oborne the pair he needed and left Bilney crippled.

A few moments later Bilney pushed the last of her remaining chips into the middle from the button holding {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and was happy enough to be holding live cards when her opponent made a call from the small blind with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Things didn't look good on a flop of {J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}, but Bilney picked up some additional outs when the {4-Clubs} fell on the turn. However her hope was short lived when the {K-Hearts} on the river spelt the end for "Aussie Sarah".

    Sam Khouiss Table Captain

In a raised pot, Sam Khouiss and Peter Aristidou saw a flop of {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The pot was already worth around 12,000 and Khouiss went hard at the pot by pushing the last of his remaining chips into the middle. Aristidou thought for several moments and pondered the 9,000 chip call but decided to fold his hand. Khouiss flipped over {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} saying "That's my favorite hand!" as he raked in the monster pot.

Khouiss now has a healthy chip stack and is pounding on his opponents - both verbally and on the felt!

    Vartan Vanquished

An early position player opened the pot for 1,200, the buttion called, and Michael Vartan moved all in from the big blind for 3,475. The EP player called and the button folded. Vartan turned up {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and was in great shape against his opponent's {A-Spades}{2-Spades}. The flop was {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}, but the {A-Clubs} spiked on the turn. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Vartan knocked the table acknowledging his defeat as he made a gracious exit.

"Kings! Ace-deuce?" he muttered to himself as he shook his head and walked off the tournament floor.

    Sam Korman Doubles Up

Sam Korman pushed the last of his 2,600 chip stack into the middle from the cutoff position in the hope of taking down the blinds uncontested, but when the player in the small blind made the call, Korman figured he was probably in bad shape. However he was thrilled when his opponent turned over {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and he was in the lead with his {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

The board of {3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} gave Korman the double up he needed and he is now sitting on around 6,000 in chips.

    The Baddest of Bad Beats

Heads swirled around at nearly every table in the Crown Poker Room as this hand between Roger Codeca and his utterly unfortunate opponent came to a dramatic conclusion.

Codeca was in serious trouble, all in pre-flop with {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} vs. his opponent's pocket queens. The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, making his opponent top set and leaving Codeca drawing only to running cards. The turn was one of them-- the {K-Clubs}, giving him a gutshot straight draw and the entire table waited with bated breath as the river card was dealt. It was the {J-Clubs} making Codeca the nut straight! The entire table, as well as the adjoining flock of railbirds erupted at the bad beat as the pot was shipped Codeca's way.

    Ben Hoang's Anti-Virus

Ben Hoang and Paul "The Virus" Ravesi were involved in a 37,000 pot. On a board of {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Ravesi and Hoang were all in.

    Ravesi: 10-6
    Hoang: Q-Q

Ravesi was ahead with two pair but the river was the {9-Hearts} and Hoang took down the pot with a bigger two pair. Hoang increased his stack to 37,000 while Ravesi slipped to 8,000.
