Juanda Timinated
William Martin raised to 3,500 again and this time Stephane Hansen flat-called. Over to John Juanda, who shoved for a second time... and then on to Tim Blake, who re-shoved. Martin folded swiftly, and after a moment, Hansen folded too, though he looked like he didn't really want to. On their backs.

Thus, to a smattering of applause, we lose Mr. Juanda, while Blake cheerfully fist-pumped in celebration and moved on up to 73,000. -

Juanda Does Not Double Up; Neither Busts
William Martin raised to 3,500, only for John Juanda to push for 13,700 total from the cutoff.
Martin tanked up, while various media personnel drifted up to the table and craned to see. "If I win," observed Martin, "I'll have more chips. But if I lose, I won't have many chips left." Great insights, indeed. Nevertheless, he eventually folded, showing Juanda

Juanda Ganesh'd
A bit of a setback for John Juanda. He seems to have raised in late position and got looked up by Ganesh Bathmanathan in the big blind holding
. There was further betting all down the board, but whatever Juanda had will always remain a mystery, as with two queens on the flop Bathmanathan had flopped trips and Juanda mucked at showdown.
Juanda's down to 16,800. -

Juanda Eliminated
As we did yesterday, today we played only one hand after the tournament clock was paused. According to table-mate Phil Gordon, short-stacked John Juanda seemed somewhat tilted that there was only one further hand to be played. He opened from under the gun, all in for about 17,000. Action passed to Gordon. He called with pocket eights and found himself against Juanda's pocket fives. Eights held to send Juanda to the rail.
That pot may have put Gordon in the chip lead. He finished the night with 157,000. The biggest stack we counted prior to the last hand was Jan Skampa's 155,000. -

Adios John Juanda
Well John Juanda made a late entrance and an early exit. We got him all in with pocket tens against an opponent's pocket queens. Juanda was out of his chair shouting for a helpful card, but there was no help anywhere on the board. He's out.

JJ Wastes No Time
After recently taking his seat, John Juanda has wasted no time in getting active at his table. After a button raisor made it 800 to play, Juanda shoved all in over the top for around 7,000 from the small blind.
The big blind and button both folded and Juanda took the pot.
"I had a big hand," said Juanda as he flashed
for jack-high. He's back to starting stack of 10,000. -

"Why are you laughing?" said Juanda.
"I don't understand why you did that. 5,200 is so light..." replied his opponent.
"Why? Are you thinking of calling with your ace-king or ace-queen?" said Juanda, as his opponent released his hand and Juanda takes it down.
Juanda is up to 58,000. -
