Congratulations to Greg Mueller, Winner of the EPL $1,500 Pro/Am ($20,000)!

The Epic Poker League's second $1,500 Pro/Am event is in the books after a short three days of competition. Ninety-seven players came out in total across the two starting days and nine of them were able to maneuver their way to the final table and grab a $20,000 Main Event seat. Those nine players are Nam Le, Phil Hellmuth, Greg Mueller, Andreas Hoivold, Russell Rosenblum, Sean Getzwiller, Brandon Meyers, Jeremy Ausmus and Michael DiVita.

Jamie Kaplan was the player who fell just short in tenth place and bubbled the $20,000 seat. With his elimination, the players earned their seat to the Main Event and we'll see them back in action on Tuesday at noon. Both Meyers and Getzwiller were able to successfully win their way into the Main Event for the second time around through the Pro/Am. Both did it last time and Meyers went on to finish in ninth place for over $70,000 in prize money.

Although play was originally going to stop when the field was down to the final nine, a few of the players wanted to play it out for the Global Poker Index points. The levels were cut down to just five minutes and the all-in fest began. When it was all said and done, Greg Mueller emerged victorious after taking down Le heads up. We'll see him and the other eight players on Tuesday for the $20,000 8-Max Main Event, the second Main Event of the EPL's first season.

Nam Le Eliminated in 2nd Place ($20,000)

Greg Mueller limped in from the small blind and Nam Le raised all in from the big blind. Mueller snap-called and tabled the {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Le held the {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Le finished second best in the hand. That also meant he finished second best in the tournament as Mueller won.
