Grant Hinkle, who won the WSOP Event 4 in 2008, is flying from his home in Kansas City tonight to Vegas for the WSOP Main Event. He has been home for the past week in Kansas City hoping his wife Kim would give birth to their first son before he had to leave for the Main Event. She went to the doctor yesterday and they told her she was not likely to make it another week, and she is experiencing early labor. Grant of course wants to be with her at the delivery, so she is spending a lot of time at home with her feet up in hopes that Baby Ben will wait to debut until after daddy returns next week. Grant's brother Blair Hinkle, who won a bracelet just 10 days after his brother in 2008, is also playing his first day in the Main Event Day 1d tomorrow (Thursday, July 8). This year is really a family affair for the Hinkles. If you see Grant Hinkle at the tables in the Main Event, he will likely have his phone nearby in case Kim calls. Her original due date was July 16th, we'll see if Grant's luck holds at home and at the Rio.
