You almost have to put Oliver Speidel on the Aussie team given his recent success. I'm sure he'll also recruit his brother Tony.

Antonio Esfandiari Wins $18 Million at WSOP Big One for One Drop $1M Buy-in Poker Tournament (11)

Finding out how much action someone had sold is near impossible if they don't want to volunteer it. In the case of the Big One for One Drop, no one was willing to share such information other than to vaguely say things likes they've "sold pieces" or have a "small piece."

Iowa Considering Bill to Allow Internet Wagering on Poker (1)

I live in Wisconsin like 90 minutes from the Iowa border. If they were to legalize online poker and develop an intra-state deal with other states, I would definitely move down there . . . If I don't relocate to Las Vegas first.

U.S. Attorney Claims Full Till Poker a Ponzi Scheme; Lederer, Ferguson, & Furst Accused (27)

We contacted Epic Poker asking how today's events will impact Chris Ferguson & Howard Lederer eligibility. Here is the statement we got back: "Epic Poker League is aware of the action taken today by the Department of Justice to amend the civil complaint to name and seek assets of certain individuals. This matter has already been referred to the League’s Standards & Conduct Committee."

We expect to hear more later this week.

Michael DiVita & Epic Poker's Stephen Martin Speak Out (7)

We briefly talked about the following statement: "“During the formation of the Epic Poker League, the Standards & Conduct Committee made a policy decision that any personal conduct that occurred prior to the League’s formation would not affect initial eligibility of a league member."

While DiVita's convictions occurred 20 years ago, Stephen Martin stated that in extreme cases involving serious criminal charges, they will address it. IMO, it certainly seems contradictory to their statement. However, Martin drew comparisons to other professional leagues/sports, and made a point that it is common practice to head off these sort of things. The answer wasn't especially satisfying, and I wouldn't argue that it essentially amounts to: "Policy decision-"We have no Policies""

I have this book too and it's prob in the top 3 in my collection, which numbers in the dozen.

My only question is actually for Chad: Have you ever reviewed a book you don't recommend? Seems like you recommend every book you review.

I was thinking the same thing myself. There have been numerous books I hated in the past (i.e. Erick Lindgren's WPT book), but I only get to review fairly new books and they seem to be of a little more quality. However, I'm currently reading through a few books that I doubt will get my recommendation.

PokerNews Debate: Which WSOP Main Event Heads-Up Match Should You Pick? (10)

I must admit, I though the Gold vs. Wasicka would be the match with the least amount of interest. Based upon comments and Twitter, that certainly isn't the case. I suppose it would be fun to watch Gold on an even playing field with Wasicka, 5 years after his heater came to an end.
