I have to concur with what Mike Masnik (TechDirt.com) said. http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20110521/15125114374/why-we-havent-seen-any-lawsuits-filed-against-government-over-domain-seizures-justice-department-stalling.shtml So apparently the U.S. says don't restrict our online businesses but we have jurisdiction across the world for net.

The need for legitimate regulatory bodies is increasing now more than ever, and I hope that legislation is on the horizon.

Negative, FT handled this by themselves. They don't need a higher body to handle it for them. Not to mention its the same forces that started Poker Black Friday. Do you really want them in control of the legislation? The obvious answer is no. The not so obvious answer to this issue is that the other sites need to step up and follow suit (pun intended).
