Player Responses and Future Plans after Black Friday (3)
I am in Malaysia (have lived here for the last four years) but I am being blocked from playing on Full Tilt. I get a message that "your are in the US" and not allowed to play - even though I am legitimately in Malaysia. I am not using a VPN. Very frustrating. Anybody else having a similar experience? Same thing for Poker Stars. They won't let me play either.

Full Tilt and PokerStars Regain .com Domain Names and Player Money is Safe (UPDATED 4/21 11:27 a.m. PDT) (26)

I am an American living in Malaysia. I was able to get back on to the Full tilt site Friday and play. Then yesterday I was blocked by a message that "you are in the US and are not allowed to play." I am legitimately in Malaysia (not using a VPN) so I have no idea why Full tilt is rejecting my play. My IP address certainly is Malaysia. Very frustrating. Anybody else having this experience?

Some body in a post said if you have a VPN you can play on the sites but that is not true. I have a VPN and can't get on to either FT or Stars.

I am in Malaysia and I cannot get on Full Tilt. It says I need a download first but the download doesn't work. I have a VPN and also tried to enter from different countries and no luck. Same thing with Poker Stars. I get a message that "players for your country and not allowed due to government regulations" or something like that. Since I am entering the site from a non-US address then they must be accessing my home address (in the USA) in their database to decide if I can play cash games or not. I wrote them asking to change my address to Malaysia where I actually live but they replied they can't do it right now.
