I firmly believe that this guy took advantage of the situation by playing in a Ladies event and he showed no moral compass in doing so.
Granted, in the U.S. you have the right to be a d*%k, but that doesn't mean you should act that way. It is impossible to justify his actions and the negative coverage this story received from the media.
He never claimed to be striking a blow for men's rights as some might argue. He simply wanted the cash and he saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation.
Jen555: In essence, the article is about pot smoking players, but I did not want to take the easy route by advocating use or promoting/criticizing the drug. I simply chose to take an angle that will eventually be a topic of discussion amongst the gaming industry at some point down the road. We know that there are legions of pot-smoking players out there, so it does have some relevance to the game (as you pointed out in your post), it just may have been a different tact than what some would have liked.
