It doesn't hurt to have a virtually unlimited bankroll. This guy makes stupid money just from Full Tilt.

The Ivey Effect (6)

Phil Ivey is certainly one of the best. You can't argue with his results. However this article did well in shedding some light on some ridiculous perks this guy has that quite frankly aren't fair to the other poker players. It just highlights how spoiled he is. I don't care who you are, tournament rules are for everyone. When you're assigned a table, you go to it whether it's a featured table or not. Bag your own freakin' chips dude and leave through the exits like everyone else. I'm amazed he wouldn't feel sheepish about being the only one eating at the table in the whole joint. The best one though is being an hour late for a tournament. Sure shows a lot of respect for your opponents, organizers, sponsors and the game itself. Wouldn't it be something if Michael Jordan didn't want to play at the United Center just because? Or if he wanted to light a cigar courtside during a game just because? Or if he didn't want to give any interviews or press conferences just because? Or if he wanted a 9 o'clock start time just because? Phil Ivey is a great poker player no doubt but he should shrink his head a bit.
