This whole this is a COMPLETE JOKE! No player is EVER going to see a dime of their money from FT or UB. The US govt has what money there was. They were all using player funds to fund their businesses! That is why they do not have $$$$$. We all got screwed case closed!

I can say from legal experience that lawsuits like this are brought to do several things. One legitamize one's case against another. Also to in effect try and make someone who is in the spotlight look better than they seem. Another is to solidify solid ground for other cases that might be looming. Yet another is if one is going to seek bankruptcy protection. I truly can't believe that Phil Ivey would have no idea what this company has been doing! Especially if he is a major shareholder. My opinion is that He, Howard and Chris all know full well what is and has been going on. If you had no idea why would you be the face of such a company? We have all been getting fleeced. If you read all of the DOJ charges. One of the charges is that they (FTP) had set up superuser accounts for the bankers who would win tourneys no matter what cards they played in order to get their pay off $$. I would love to see the evidence to such claims be aired out publically where we can all see. After all it is our $ that is in jeapordy. I have been playing live poker for over 10 years and have only ever lost quads over quads once. Yet in a 3 year period I lost quads over 5 times on tilt. Why is that? It was not too many years ago that UB and AP got busted for the cheating scandal. It is sad. What we need is for the govt to hurry up and give us a fair and honest solution that we can all have fun and play poker on. Good luck with that LOL

I agree with Angie!!! On top of that we all know this is turning into a BIG he said she said game! Fulltilt and AP/ UB should follow the example being set by pokerstars! PAY US BACK OUR $$$$$ The DOJ has made a deal with you and wants you to pay us back our $$ so PAY UP!

spcrdplyr you are correct I was not referring to cash game winnings at all. The fact is that in cash game winnings I don't know anyone personally playing 1/2, 2/5 or even 5/10 that claim thier winnings. I had several big wins last year. I kept all by buy in receipts and wrote them off and didn't owe any tax. I would be more than happy to pay whatever tax I am supposed to pay. I do know they anywhere else in the world if you win big $ you don't pay taxes like from Canada or the UK. I just know the whole thing is sad. Right now I am owed a WSOP seat ($10000) from UB and I know there are at least 50 people in the same boat as me! I don't see why the DOJ doesn't allow them to give us back our $$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!

Ok first an electronically filed lawsuit is when you file it electronically instead of in person. The fact is that Fulltilt was trying to circumvent the US banking laws brought this on everyone. If they would have stuck to western union and or cash/ bank accounts this probably would never have happened. The DOJ is not going to go after licensed brick and mortar casinos. I received a letter this week from my senator. They are working on a bill now to regulate online gaming. They want to make sure they get their piece. This is a painful process that we all have to go through to get to the other side. Keep in mind too that under the current US tax laws you only get 1099d/ w2gd for wins over $5000. So for most players and most situations once it is licensed and regulated it will probably not matter all that much. The real bottom line is that the US govt takes forever to do anything. It took them 18 - 24 months to build up this case and freeze all the $. Lets not also forget that they unfroze the main account of Fulltilt in IRL that has $150,000,000 USD in it! Full Tilt said they are short $60,000,000 due to the guy that they used to build this case against them. Why not pay out that $150,000,000? The reason is simple they don't plan to pay out to players. Pokerstars has proven they want to be in business long after this whole mess is over. I really truly hope the DOJ sees that and gives them a license after all this is over. Frankly I liked Party Poker the best anyway! As far as Phil Ivy boycotting well it just means that there is one less great player that I have to worry about when I am playing in the WSOP .

I TOTALLY agree with spcrdplyr! My opinion is that Full Tilt doesn't have the money to pay out to players. They may have some of it but they are probably someplace between 80 and 100 million short. Then add on to that the legal defense fund. The lawyers in this are charging HUGE fees no doubt! The chatter is that they have $60 million at least that was seized prior to this that they have never been able to recover!

We can all speculate but the fact is that the situation is very complex. Add to it the fact that Phil spent/ blew millions a month playing craps and whatever else. My feeling is that they never thought the well would run dry. By running a non-stop marketing campaign on ESPN basically giving the US govt the finger. How could anyone have not expected this to happen. The whole reason the government got involved in the first place was one the lack of taxes being paid by these companies and two the credit card companies getting burned. If they just stuck to cash for play instead of credit to play and paid taxes this may have all never happened. Now we have to deal with a 2-5 year quagmire of government involvement in deciding whether or not or when we can all make decisions for ourselves. The real question is whether or not the others will show up and play at the WSOP!

I keep posting this so that everyone on earth knows and NO ONE signs up to UB ever worldwide until they pay up!

Too bad the fields will be a LOT smaller! So many of us our still waiting for our $$$ from UB and FT and AP!!! I know of at least 50 people including myself that are due $12000 packages from UB! Then add to it the rumors that "CERTAIN" people have received $$ from Full Tilt while others have not! Pretty ugly to say the least!

Urgent ADD ON!! The news is now hitting the blogs that AP/UB is going BK and sticking it's middle finger up at the US players and the US DOJ!
