I think I realized what Dwan is doing. He's devoting himself 100% to this game until he drains every last Hong Kong penny of China's new capitalist wealth. Then he's gonna come back to the US, open an office, and start writing checks to FTP players to make good on that guarantee he made last year. Move over Barry G--there's a new Robin Hood of Poker.

I think his cameo in "California Split" is what most people would refer to as a "minor role," not "major" one. Great movie; small part.

What a complete circus. The poker industry feels worse off right now than it did a year ago.

Not surprised. How were they planning on being profitable again? It seemed like every deal they were involved in--tournaments, promotions, TV deals--was a net loss, and that they had to know this going into it. Was the big revenue stream supposed to be sponsorships and advertising that never happened?

The debtors who claim to be concerned about player funds getting paid back if they pay Tapie need to back that claim up by putting the money they owe in escrow, with the agreement that should the BTG deal fail--whether because of their outstanding debts or not--the money will be used to make partial restitution to the players who had positive account balances on FTP.

Looks like FTP may be finished. Buying the company at this point may just mean paying for the software and letting the company be dismantled; hopefully Howard, Ferguson, Ivey & Co. then step up to pay back account balances using that money, their own funds, and whatever's left after the DOJ is done with them.
