No. Australians get taxed 30% of their winnings.
So lets just say if Jonathan came first and won the $1,315 518. He would be taxed $394,655 and only be allowed to take home $920,863.
I think there is a way around this tax, say if your from Australia but also have like a European passport, then you wouldn't be taxed. E.g. Jeff Lisandro flies under the Italian flag although he lives in Australia.
