2010 World Series of Poker: Why Ivey Will Win 30 or More in His Lifetime (2)
Based on Phil Ivey's recent success and his overall ability normally i would agree instantly. The only thing you really have to consider is the fact that in EVERY professional sport there has Never been a person who is nearly 3 times or 172% better than the 2nd best player. So considering that, either Phil Hellmuth is going to run like wildfire or Phil Ivey will be a Massive rarity. Then you have to consider that very few players win more than 1 bracelet in 2 years on average. Phil Ivey has a higher average but he also didn't win a bracelet in 2006, 2007 or 2008. And every other major bracelet has had cold streaks of at least 4 years including Hellmuth (4 years), Brunson (12 years), Johnny Moss (7 years) and Chan (5 years). Also none of the top 4 has won since 2007. So I'm really skeptical until Ivey wins 20 bracelets before he's 50 years old.
