The reasoning behin the river bet was a really cool way to put it. Never had thought about it quite like that before.

what is on-line poker doing for B&M poker? (3)

I think the most comfortable low limit game a casino can afford is a $1-2 NL. Keep the max buy-in at $100 and you've got a good game for players and over-head.
Card rooms here in Diego are packed with many $20 tourney's available and cash games at every level but micros.

With more experience playing with the deep stack you'll like it way better. Here are some of my thoughts, take 'em or leave 'em.
1. are you playing on line? If so, if $200 on the table is scarey for you, consider full buy-in at the $.50-$1 game for $100. This will give you some practice in deep stack poker and you'll still have 2 chances.
2. With a full buy-in its easier to push people off pots if the time is right. Even if you bet is not huge, your op should be thinking of future bets that you could make to put a significant amount of their money at risk to continue playing.
3. If small ball is your game, keep it up. I was playing some $1-2 the other night finished $100 winner and never had more than $25 of my stack committed to a single hand in 3 hours.
I never want to sit down at a table with any more disadvantages than I already might have. Starting deep stacked is not a licence for playing ATC unless playing post flop is your strong point and you've had measurable success playing a looser game. However, if you're in for half the buy-in chasing a premium draw while getting 5 to 1 can still leave you crippled, where you can afford it more and get paid off more with the full buy-in.
Try stepping down a level and playing with a full stack a few times and try playing tight, then try seeing tons of flops and see what happens. Once you've found the things that work best, step back up.

I'm fortunate enough to live in Cali and have at least 6 card rooms within an hours drive. Lucky me. Be careful with the bar poker though. Reading the news page on this site you'll see the recent trend of rades.
Another example of how the government can make otherwise law abiding citizins criminals. Osama runs free, but we better catch the bar keep with a $10 buy in saturday night poker game! Smart.

I play on line poker but am blind. I use a screne reader that works for nearly everything I do, but on line poker, so any time I wish to play, it includes drafting my girlfriend to read the cards for me.
I have a programmer friend who has gotten a couple of sites to work, but not any of the few remaining U.S friendly ones. If any of y'all can program stuff and think perhaps you could lend a helping hand so I could play on a U.S friendly site independently, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks.
