The Ultimate Follow Friday (#FF) Twitter Guide for Poker Players

Daniel Negreanu

We've decided to take #FF (Follow Friday) to whole new level with a poker-focused list of some of the best Twitter feeds to follow throughout the World Series of Poker. While there is plenty of coverage of poker’s most prestigious tournament series, some of the best insight into the action and off-the-felt happenings inside the Rio comes from Twitter.

Who has the best Twitter feed? While the answer will be different for everyone, we went right to source and posed the question both to players and the PokerNews team. Only five people made the list on both the players and PokerNews team responses. Enjoy your #FF!

Daniel Negreanu: @RealKidPoker

One of the most popular players of the game, Daniel Negreanu has plenty of opinions about the game of poker and life in general and he’s not afraid to share them. He has made it known that he is on a quest for bracelets and another WSOP player of the year title. He is off to a good start with a second-place finish in Event #13: No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball.

Haralabos Voulgaris: @haralabob

Haralabos “Bob” Voulgaris is an accomplished poker player but is better known as a NBA sports bettor. Well known for his proprietary compilation of NBA data, Voulgaris is one of the few people able to make a lucrative career out betting on the NBA. He has close to $2 million in tournament cashes, with most of them coming from the World Poker Tour. Described as the “world's top NBA gambler” by ESPN, it his said he watches about 400 games a season and at least one quarter of 90% of all games. You can often find him commenting on them which certainly adds another element of entertainment to the game.

Matt Glantz: @MattGlantz

Matt Glantz is a respected high-stakes mixed-game player and is one of the games. A former stock trader, Glantz also is respected for his thoughtful opinions on the state of poker. He shares many of these views through his blog, which is a must read for any poker player and of course on Twitter.

Liv Boeree: @Liv_Boeree

Adventure junkie Liv Boeree is one of those people you want to live vicariously through. Well, you are in luck because you can do just that by following her on Twitter. Boeree is best known for her win in EPT San Remo € 5,000 + 300 No Limit Hold'em - Main Event and just recently arrive in Las Vegas for summer. She is always having fun and sharing it with us mere mortals.

Matt Salsberg: @msalsberg

A TV writer and producer who has worked on such shows as Weeds and Entrourage, Matt Salsberg successfully showcases his wit in 140 characters. Salsberg has over $1.4 million in live tournament earnings and 10 WSOP cashes, proving he has some poker chops to go along with that wit.
