The Bonus Hunter, Vol. 2 - Absolute Poker

There are a number of sites which are essential to a full-time bonus hunter, and one of these sites is Absolute Poker. Absolute basically has a 'bottomless bonus', which means you can clear almost non-stop and they'll still give you bonuses to clear. In the last year, Absolute has offered around 100-150 reload bonuses, so every few days you get another reload bonus offer. The value of these bonuses has been over $30,000 in the past year, so you can quickly understand the value of Absolute to a full-time bonus hunter.

Clearing Rates:

You can clear the Absolute bonuses at any real-money games, but the best games to clear on are 1/2 and 2/4 Limit HE. You'll need to play 10 raked hands for each $1 in bonus money, and each hand must be raked at 50c or greater to qualify as a raked hand. You'll clear the bonus at around $4-$5/hour at 1/2 and 2/4 Limit, and you can play up to 6 tables at once. As discussed in my other introductory article about bonus hunting, you should be aiming to play short-handed limit as you'll get through more hands per hour, and your hourly rate will increase.

If we use the $5/hour clear rate per table for Absolute, once you get 6 short-handed limit tables running, you'll be clearing at $30 an hour, which is a great earn, even if you are only breaking even at the actual poker. If you can win at 2bb/100, you are then theoretically looking at $54/hour for 1/2 and $78/hour at 2/4. I know some very solid mid-limit pros who aren't running at $78/hour this year.

Quality of Games:

The games at Absolute are fairly soft but, with all soft games, the swings can be large sometimes. At times the limit games will be populated with a lot of other bonus hunters, however, this should not concern you too greatly. Most bonus hunters generally play fairly conservatively and straight-forward and shouldn't give you too much trouble.

Other Important Information:

- Absolute bonuses expire after 60 days, however this is nothing to be too concerned about as you clear the bonus in $10 increments, and there is always a new reload offer coming soon.

- You can earn lots of Absolute Reward Points while you're clearing bonuses, which you can use to buy poker merchandise like poker books and apparel. You can sell the books on Ebay, further adding to your win rate.
