David Chiu Signs Representation Deal with Poker Royalty

Major poker-representation firm Poker Royalty has announced another major signing with the addition of Full Tilt Poker pro David Chiu to its impressive lineup of players. Chiu's addition to the Poker Royalty lineup further strengthens the agency's offerings, as Chiu joins Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Patrik Antonius, Erick Lindgren and many other players.

The agreement allows Poker Royalty to represent the China-born Chiu across all major promotion areas, which include mainstream media, sponsorship, licensing, commercial endorsements and personal appearances. Chiu's appeal to the burgeoning Asian poker market is another plus in the arrangement. Brian Balsbaugh, CEO Poker Royalty, said, "Signing David Chiu for exclusive representation is a huge coup for our company. We are going to invest a lot of resources into raising David's profile in China and look forward to monetizing his growing celebrity as the best Chinese poker player in the world. David's future is very bright and we are happy to be on his team."

Chiu is widely regarded as one of the most, perhaps the most, successful Chinese-born poker player on the tournament circuit. Chiu's tournament winnings are over $6 million, and include four WSOP bracelets and a win in the 2008 WPT Championship. He's logged 44 WSOP cashes to date, placing him in the top tier of all-time WSOP performers.

"I am pleased to be represented by Poker Royalty", stated Chiu, "They have an outstanding reputation within the poker industry and have unparalleled industry contacts. I look forward to working with them in the future."
