Tuesday is Poker Night With the World Series of Poker and Inside Deal on ESPN

Darvin Moon

Tuesday once again sees the return of ESPN’s poker coverage as the network continues its broadcast of the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event. Having made the money, returning players will be looking to take their shots at becoming a member of the November Nine as 400 players start the action hoping to snag the millions of dollars at stake.

The first hour of play focuses on a particularly strong table that features two wily veterans who have gone deep in previous WSOP Main Events: Andrew Black and 2009 November Nine member Jeff Shulman. Joining the fray is 2009’s hottest player, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.

The second hour of play keeps the momentum going as a little over 300 players continue their fight for main event gold. Players featured in the second hour include Joe Hachem, Peter Eastgate, Dennis Phillips, Phil Ivey and Dan Harrington.

In addition to enjoying the main event coverage, poker fans can go online to watch ESPN.com’s 30-minute poker show, ESPN Inside Deal. This week’s episode features special guest, November Nine finalist Darvin Moon. Hosts Andrew Feldman, Lauara Lane and Bernard Lee ask Moon about his feelings going into the final table, what it will take to win the event and what his poker background is. Lacey Jones also makes an appearance on the webisode.

The World Series of Poker airs on ESPN at 8 p.m. EST and you can catch all the Inside Deal episodes at ESPN.com/insidedeal. Be sure to follow us on Twitter for up-to-the-minute news.
