The Sunday Briefing: PokerStars Sets Sunday Million Record, FTOPS Main Event Ends in Seven-Way Deal

It was a record setting Sunday on PokerStars as the Sunday Million reached an all-time high in number entrants and its prize pool. As part of its 40-billionth-hand celebration and the fourth anniversary of the Sunday Million, a guaranteed $4 Million prize pool was offered.

Not only was that number shattered, it was not far off from being doubled as 36,169 hopefuls created a prize pool of $7,233,800. Amazingly, no deal was discussed at any point of the final table. "RichieRichZH" outlasted the field, claiming $1,141,510.31 in the biggest Sunday Million in history.

Over at Full Tilt, FTOPS XV came to a close and awarded some of its biggest winners on Sunday. "JackQKA" won the Main Event for $$237,643.69 after a seven-handed deal was struck. Raj “BadCardsAA” Vohra emerged victorious in the $2,500 two-day 6-max event to pocket the $430,000 first-place prize.
