Proving that he is all things to all men, this week Tony G has taken a rest from his usual brand of trash talking to heal a rift in the poker world. In an open letter to Daniel Negreanu and Annie Duke he has decided to play mediator between the feuding stars.

“Dear Annie and Daniel, Heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race. I write to you both here to plead with you to calm down and offer the guiding diplomatic hand of Tony G to smooth things over. If necessary I will lube up with aloe vera and lavender and give you both a deep relaxing massage.”

WPT London is Underway!
Today is the start of the first ever WPT London Main Event, over at the Palm Beach Casino in London. This marks the start of a month long festival of poker in the capital of England which includes the English Poker Open, World Series of Poker Europe and EPT London.

WPT Festa al Lago Qualifiers Running
Qualifiers have begun for the World Poker Tour Festa al Lago at the Bellagio. You can win a $14,000 package that includes a $10,300 buy-in, $2000 spending money and seven nights luxury accommodation. Qualifiers are running until October 3rd.

The Big Game IV is alright, but give me High Stakes Poker over it any time. Currently around 30 hours through the game on UK tv and just about reaching the limit of how much Jesse May I can take. I'm surprised his fellow commentators don't slip a sedative into his drink.
