Welcome to the Team

The Team PokerStars Pro roster just got one name longer. Slovakian pro, Dag Palovic will now be donning the PokerStars patch at all of the tournaments he attends. His two deep runs in the 2009 and 2010 World Series of Poker Main Events, and his almost $750,000 career tournament earnings make him an exemplary candidate to be patched up, but we're sure that bleaching his hair blonde and painting the PokerStars red spade logo on the back of his head, certainly didn't hurt.

"It is great opportunity to play as a Team Pro member of the largest online poker site in the world," Plaovic said. "I hope to improve my results in the future to be really a good and visible member of the team."

Happy Holidays from The Micros!

Our favorite animated web series, The Micros, is back with a holiday special. There's even a special guest this time. Jay Rosenkrantz and John "JimmyLegs" Wray sure know how to get us laughing. Dwan soap, Mike the Mouthwash, Phil Ivey's Stone Cold Nuts - just make sure to pay attention.

Traveling the World

PokerNews is proud to announce that you'll be seeing us all over the PokerStars tours throughout 2011. We'll be bringing you the stellar coverage you're used to from the floors of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour, European Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour, and of course the North American Poker Tour.

Also, we're happy to announce that our senior tournament reporter Donnie Peters has been promoted to Tournament Reporting Manager! Congratulations Donnie!

Be sure to stop by the live reporting desk at the stops and say hi to Team PokerNews at any of the stops and if you're not there, follow all the coverage on the PokerNews Live Reporting Blog.

Vote for Glo!

We told you last week that our very own Gloria Balding was nominated for Favorite Poker Hostess in the Bluff Reader's Choice Awards. Well, voting for that has officially opened and this is your friendly reminder. Not only is Gloria up for an award, but so is PokerNews blogger Martin Harris, or Short-Stacked Shamus, as many of you may know him, for Favorite Poker Blog.

Go vote, if you haven't already that is. Gloria is campaigning pretty hard.

Like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter for up-to-the-minute news.

There is still time to play in our final $15,000 Sunday Million Freerollon PokerStars in the current series, but hurry as you have to qualify this month.
