The action was slow at the start of the new year, but it really picked up on Monday as several of the high-stakes specialists battled. The big winner so far has been Di ”Urindanger” Dang, making much of his profit at $300/$600 pot-limit Omaha against "cadillac1944."

Dang had the button and raised to $1,800. From the big blind, cadillac1944 popped it to $5,400, quickly getting called by Dang. The flop came down 984 and cadillac1944 bet the pot of $10,800. Dang raised to $43,200, cadillac1944 went all-in for an additional $20,000, and Dang called.

Dang: K987 – top two pair
cadillac1944: AAJ4 – overpair, bottom pair

They only ran it once, with the 9 falling on the turn to give Dang a full house. The J river card proved to be no help to cadillac1944, and he saw the nearly $138,000 pot head Dang's way.

It isn't all that often that we a six-figure pot without somebody being all-in, but the two managed to have one of those, as well. On the button, cadillac1944 raised to $1,800 and Dang popped it to $5,400. A call from cadillac1944 delivered an 888 flop. Dang bet $4,200, receiving a call from cadillac1944. The 5 turn card was bet by Dang again in the form of $14,200. Cadillac1944 called, landing the 10 on the river. Dang fired again, this time for $32,400. Cadillac1944 called but mucked when Dang tabled JJ98 for quads, winning the $112,400 pot in the process.

The session could have been worse for cadillac1944 had he not managed a chop in the biggest pot played between the two. With the button, cadillac1944 made it $1,800 to go and Dang popped it to $5,400 from the big blind. A call from cadillac1944 led to a Q104 flop, which Dang checked. A pot-sized bet of $10,800 was cadillac1944's next move, with Dang smooth-calling. The 8 hit the turn, and once again, Dang checked. Another pot-sized bet followed from cadillac1944, this one for $32,400. Dang had none of it though, reraising to $129,000. After calling all-in for another $46,000, cadillac1944 revealed AQ95 for top pair, a straight draw, and flush draw, while Dang tabled J987 for the nut straight. They ran it twice and cadillac1944 saw the 6 fall on the first run to secure half the pot with a flush. The second run brought the 10, giving the second half to Dang, splitting the $189,000+ pot between the two.

This week’s biggest winners (1/1-1/3): Di “Urindanger” Dang (+$405,000), Jared “harrington25” Bleznick (+$398,000), IHateJuice (+$333,000), Daniel “jungleman12” Cates (+$299,000)

In the red: Gus Hansen (-$332,000), Tom “durrrr” Dwan (-$318,000), cadillac1944 (-$295,000), Patrik Antonius (-$275,000)
