Full Tilt Poker's FTOPS XIX concluded on Monday morning after a thrilling two weeks. In that period, several FTOPS records were broken, and others were downright shattered. Lets take a look at a few facts and figures that stood out.
Love or hate Multi-Entries, there is no denying why the numbers were so eye-popping this series.
| Player | Event | Prize |
|---|---|---|
| Blair "blur5f6" Hinkle | Main Event | $1,162,949.74 |
With three players remaining in the Main Event, Hinkle locked up the biggest individual prize in the history of the FTOPS. Holding the chip lead, as well as the edge in skill and experience, Hinkle wanted to continue playing. But when he proposed a guaranteed $1,150,000 for himself (a number he thought his opponents would scoff at), Hinkle was surprised at how quickly his terms were accepted. He threw in an extra $5,000 for the others to successfully work out their own terms, in the end guaranteeing himself $1,145,000. Although he did not win the jersey, his monster score stands alone in the FTOPS history books.
| Player | Event | Prize |
|---|---|---|
| GIAMPP | Main Event | $877,949.74 |
| Mads "SirMad" Amot | Main Event | $805,440.26 |
| Jason "NovaSky" Koon | $300+$22 No-Limit Hold’em Multi-Entry | $458,550.00 |
| Nayza | Main Event | $451,744.80 |
| Mike "CuteIsWhatIAim4" Telker | $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold’em Multi-Entry | $408,068.23 |
| Kirbynator | $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold’em Multi-Entry | $371,671.72 |
| Alexander "AD_84" Debus | $300+$22 No-Limit Hold’em Multi-Entry | $341,268.60 |
| O0Brian0O | $300+$22 No-Limit Hold’em Multi-Entry | $336,750.00 |
| Ryan "NextCase222" Sharp | $2,000+$100 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max | $332,041.25 |
| Dan "WiLDmAn75" Buzgon | Main Event | $321,433.80 |
While "GIAMPP" officially won the most lucrative tournament in FTOPS history, the fact that Hinkle earned nearly $300,000 more and locked up seven figures more, perhaps overshadows the Italian's impressive feat. While many may question GIAMPP's deal-making decision, life-changing money does not present itself everyday. Any poker player would have been happy to pocket the $877,949.74 that GIAMPP earned for his victory.
| Player | Final Table Earnings |
|---|---|
| Dan "WiLDmAn75" Buzgon | $395,353.00 |
| Haibo "Haibomi" Chu | $170,474.50 |
| Paul "paulgees81" Volpe | $36,502.20 |
Highlighted by his fifth-place finish in the Main Event, Buzgon had a very profitable FTOPS XIX. His series also included second and third-place performances in no-limit hold'em rush and stud hi/lo affairs, respectively.
| Player | Final Table Earnings |
|---|---|
| LilPokerGirlie | $286,353.59 |
| Nicholas "Grippolio" Grippo | $150,693.45 |
| Vincent "Soepgroente" van der Fluit | $89,240.00 |
| Mike "SirWatts" Watson | $51,574.92 |
The largest tournament of the series was Event #22, a $120+$9 No-Limit Hold’em Knockout Multi-Entry extravaganza that drew 23,342, nearly 20 percent of the total entrants for the entire series. Winning the tournament was "LilPokerGirlie," who also finished in eighth place Event #31, the $500+$35 No-Limit Hold’em 3x Shootout three days later.

If Telker was at all discouraged about his third-place finish worth $60,347.50 in Event #18, a $100+$9 No-Limit Hold’em w/ Rebuys tournament, he felt better two days later. In Event #27,a $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold’em Multi-Entry event, Telker collected $408,068.23 for his first-place finish.
