The Jamie Gold Poker Room at the Tropicana was first announced in December.
“This deal with Tropicana covers everything I could have ever wanted in a relationship with a major Las Vegas Strip resort and it will serve as my anchor and the conduit to all of my future poker and philanthropic endeavors,” Gold said in December. “I really couldn’t be more excited!”
Gold is serving as the ambassador and spokesperson for the poker room and has been making daily appearances in the poker room since the December announcement. Friday, Feb. 17, marks the grand opening of the Jamie Gold Poker Room. A celebrity red-carpet event, with guest of honor Jamie Gold kicking off the opening weekend.
The event kicks off Feb. 17 at the RPM Nightclub where fans can party with “Jamie and his celebrity friends.” Doors open at 10:30 p.m. and the cover charge is $30 for men and $20 for women.
The fun continues Saturday, Feb. 18 with the first tournament to be hosted in Jamie Gold Poker Room. The $500 deep-stack tournament begins at noon. The tournament has one rebuy and one add-on and is limited to the first 75 players.
For those who haven’t got enough action, the event will wind down with a final “Second Chance” tournament on Sunday, Feb. 19. The $300 tournament will begin at noon and will also have one rebuy and one add-on.

Nice to see the Tropicana making some moves on the strip and starting with Gold is a good step. If they copy the outstanding service and table food you can get at the Venetian ... they will have a great poker room.
