PokerNews Partners with the Mid-States Poker Tour

This week, PokerNews became the official media partner for the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT), the exclusive poker tour of the Midwest. Founded by Bryan Mileski, the tour hosts a series of deep stack Texas hold’em tournaments at separate locations throughout the region. Mileski is also the Minnesota Poker Player Alliance State Director and the President & Publisher of Minnesota Poker Magazine.

Heading into its fourth season, the MSPT has plans for 15 events during 2013. That's an increase over the 10 events that were held last year in a very successful third season. The new season kicks off Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus, Minnesota. The $1,100 Main Event kicks off Friday, Feb. 15 and boasts a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. On top of the cash, the winner of each event will be awarded a customized diamond bracelet.

Other events for Season 4 have been planned at FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan, Ho-Chunk Casino in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Downstream Casino Resort in Quapaw, Oklahoma, Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota, Northern Lights Casino in Walker, Minnesota and Grand Falls Casino Resort in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
