The 23rd installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) came to a close over the weekend. The popular series at Full Tilt Poker saw 38 events take place on the virtual felt over two weeks, with the two biggest events of the festival wrapping up on Sunday.
The $635 buy-in Main Event saw more than 3,300 players generate a prize pool of nearly $2 million. With three players remaining, "DiaperSniper14" locked up the biggest prize of $301,118, but "Itahaschi" emerged as the winner after the negotiations were complete. "Itahaschi" collected his first FTOPS jersey and saw his bankroll boosted by $270,828.
Meanwhile, the two-day $2,100 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry event saw several notables make deep runs on Sunday. It came down to two pros playing heads-up for the title: Toby "sexystuff1989" Lewis, and Clark "Snake8484" Hamagami, who won the PokerStars Sunday Million just last week. After the two stars agreed to a heads-up deal, Lewis went on to claim victory and his first FTOPS jersey.
Many other top pros scooped big scores on Sunday, including Adam "squee451"Sherman, Brandon "oncommand" Meyers, Jonathan "MONSTER_DONG" Karamalikis, Tommy "TMoney0209" Miller, and Thiago "XTheDecanoX" Nishijima, who made a pair of final tables. Nishijima finished seventh in the PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance for $8,466 and won the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $77,850.
