On Tuesday, Monster, Inc. and the World Poker Tour (WPT) announced that Monster will become the official headphones at all WPT Main Tour events around the globe through 2016 through a major TV and live-event sponsorship program of the WPT and its related series.

Monster, which has been a catalyst for innovation and big ideas for the past 35 years, engineered the sound of Beats® headphones, and has since become the world’s leading manufacturer of high-performance headphones. Today, the company offers advanced connectivity solutions for professional musicians, home entertainment, computing, mobile and gaming, as well as high performance AC Power and conditioning products.

“We are partnering with Monster because of their heritage in high-performance audio, creativity and their proven track record of building brands in the audio space. This deal is a natural fit for both brands, and reflects Monster CEO Noel Lee’s vision of working with industry leaders like the WPT to create mutually beneficial partnerships for everyone involved,” said WPT President Adam Pliska. “This comprehensive deal represents a huge commitment from both parties, and we’re very excited to be working with Monster over the next three years.”

As part of the deal, Monster with have exclusive access to WPT players, and provide the company with a fully integrated marketing and advertising campaign that will see its products featured throughout WPT broadcasts, live events, and across social media platforms over the next three seasons.

“The partnership between World Poker Tour and Monster has already begun, and we are thrilled to be able to share Monster headphones with the WPT players around the world,” said Head Monster Noel Lee. “At Monster, we understand poker players enjoy listening to their favorite tunes at the table since it keeps them focused. Every player who reaches a televised WPT final table will be given a pair of Monster headphones, and WPT broadcasts will feature special sponsor segments including the Monster Hand of the Day. In addition to its integration into existing WPT events and broadcasts, Monster will sponsor the Monster Invitational, a six-player charity tournament that will be held in 2014 and filmed for broadcast as a special two-part episode airing in World Poker Tour’s 13th season.
