The Sunday Briefing: Mike "Timex" McDonald Wins Biggest Score Ever at PokerStars

By the time 2014 comes to a close, Mike "Timex" McDonald might have all the money.

The current GPI Player of the Year leader already has more than $4.3 million in live tournament earnings in 2014 thanks to a trio of seven-figure scores at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the Aussie Millions. He added some "pocket change" on Sunday, winning the PokerStars $109 Sunday Rebuy for $56,813.

We were surprised to learn that the $109 Rebuy score was the biggest ever for McDonald at PokerStars. According to PocketFives.com, McDonald's previous biggest online cash came in the PokerStars Bigger $109 tournament in November 2011 for $48,503. He now has more than $1.2 million in online tournament winnings to go along with $10 million on the live felt.

Other notables finding success on Sunday were Maksim "MAMOHT_T" Viktorovich, Paul "pvas2" vas Nunes, Dennis "el_klonkador" Bejedal, Michael "moneyinbag" Aron, John "bullyon" Buglion, Fergal "MidniteKowby" Nealon and Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz. Nealon defeated Holz heads-up to win the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic for $56,249.
