Victoria Coren-Mitchell becomes the first two-time EPT champion

While many of you were busy with your families this holiday weekend, PokerStars Team Pro Victoria Coren-Mitchell was busy making history by winning her second European Poker Tour (EPT) Main Event title in San Remo.

Coren-Mitchell not only became the first two-time winner, but also has the distinction of also being the first female EPT main event winner (back in 2006). You can catch Coren Mitchell's thoughts on her win in a video on the PokerStars blog by our very own Sarah Grant.

Inside the minds of Martins Adeniya and Ben Jenkins

We are going to stay in San Remo to recap an interesting segment on the Full Tilt Poker blog where poker pros Martins Adeniya, Ben Jenkins and Danielle Anderson discuss a hand that Adeniya played during a 2,000 Euro No-Limit Hold’em EPT side event in San Remo.

The blog features an almost nine-minute video wherein Adeniya explains why he refused to give up with just eight-high in a three-way, three-bet pot. Adeniya discusses why he displayed relentless aggression in detail, including preflop decisions and bet sizing tells.

An everyman's look at 888 Live Venice

888Poker has a unique blog structure where you don't have to be one of the most famous poker players in the world to get your name in print. If you have something you would like to share with the world, we recommend blogging about it there, and who knows, you might appear in the next BlogNews Weekly here at PokerNews.

This week, "P18ULL" (known as Paul to his friends) blogged about his unique experience heading off to Venice for the 888 Live event. In his engaging writing style he takes you through his arrival in Venice, his experiences playing in the event, and discussion about all the sights, smells, and sounds he enjoyed with his wife. He loved meeting the 888 Ambassadors and others at this fun event two weeks ago.
