Season XII of the World Poker Tour concludes on April 21 with the start of the $15,400 WPT Championship at the luxorious Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, but PokerNews kicks off their coverage of the entire 2014 Borgata Spring Poker Open on Tuesday!

PokerNews will provide live coverage for each of the 17 main events from April 8-26, including the $5 million guarantee WPT Championship. It is the first time ever that the WPT will conclude their tour on the East Coast.

The popular festival begins with a massive, $560 buy-in event with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The opening tournament will allow re-entries during the three starting flights. In January, the $560 opening event of the Borgata Winter Poker open attracted 4,812 runners before the tournament was canceled by staff due to the discovery of counterfeit chips.

Other notable events on the Spring Poker Open schedule include a $2,700 BSO Championship Event ($1 million guarantee); a $1,090 Six-Max No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry ($100,000 guaranteed); and a $300 Big Stack No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry ($100,000 guaranteed).

PokerNews will be activating the My Stack App during the series, allowing players to directly update their chip counts in the PokerNews blog using their iPhone or Android phone. Players can also submit hand histories and photos for their fans, family, and backers to see directly on the PokerNews Live Reporting page.

In addition to the 17 regular events on the schedule, there will be also more than a dozen qualifiers to the BSO Championship and WPT Championship. Players can win a seat into the WPT Championship for as little as $360 and have a chance to compete against the very best poker players in the world.
