Dania Casino & Jai Alai to Host PPC South Florida Showdown from June 3-8, 2014
The Players Poker Championship (PPC) Poker Tour, which has tripled in size for Season 2, has added another event to their schedule. From June 3-8, the PPC is heading to Dania Casino and Jai Alai for the 2014 Dania Casino South Florida Showdown.
"Our tour started in South Florida and we couldn’t be more excited to add Dania Casino as our Broward partner for two events in 2014," said PPC Commissioner Sandy Swartzbaugh. "The players that helped us build the tour are in the area and we are excited to give them a series that is close to home."
The PPC Dania Casino South Florida Showdown will feature an affordable $150 buy-in, $30,000 guarantee Main Event that will run Thursday, June 5 through Sunday, June 8. Players can buy-in any of six starting flights and carry their largest stack into Day 2. The fields combine on Sunday, June 8 to crown a champion and award PPC Aruba World Championship packages.
“As poker manager, one of the first calls I made was to Bryan and Sandy at the PPC Poker Tour," said Chris Trabue, Poker Room Manager Dania Casino and Jai Alai. "The strength of the PPC Poker Tour in Florida is too impressive to ignore and the $150 buy-in Main Event is one everyone can afford. We are expecting a great turnout for the series.”
Dania Casino and Jai Alai features 550 slot machines and a brand new 12 table poker room. Dania Casino is located in Broward County at 301 East Dania Beach Blvd. just 5 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale Airport.
