The Sunday Briefing: Bogdan "Lionet" Diaconu Wins PokerStars Sunday Million for $203K

Many of poker's top online talents are making their way to Las Vegas for the 2014 World Series of Poker, but there was still plenty of action across PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker on Sunday. Both sites ran their usual slate of major tournaments, and several pros hit paydirt.

Bogdan "Lionet" Diaconu was the biggest earner on Sunday after winning the PokerStars Sunday Million. The Romanian bested a field of 6,676 to claim the $203,088 top prize. Finishing third in that event was Norway's "fullhouseiii," who reached his second Sunday Million final table in three months. He finished runner-up to Lauri "IMS DURNK" Pesonen in February for $169,598 and added another $106,816 to his bankroll on Sunday.

Among the other notables who locked up big scores on Sunday were Lars "Dsavo" Bonding, Joao Mathias, Ami "UhhMee" Barer, Christian "eisenhower1" Jeppsson, Evgeny "evgen sochi" Korchagin, and Jim "reelhugefish" Gilbert, who managed to make two major final tables at PokerStars on Sunday.
