2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Just Over One Week Away 0001

The 2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic is just over one week away, with the festivities kicking off Saturday, Nov. 1 with a $500 No-Limit Hold'em event. The series will feature five events running Nov. 1-9, highlighted by the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event that boasts a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

PokerNews will be on the floor providing live updates, chip counts, photos and more from each tournament. We will also be activating the MyStack App for all five events, allowing players to directly update their chip counts in the PokerNews blog using their iPhone or Android phone.

"It is PokerNews' pleasure to once again be working with Seneca Gaming & Entertainment for the upcoming Fall Poker Classic, and we are thrilled to be providing live coverage from start to finish of the entire series," said PokerNews Editor-in-Chief Donnie Peters. "The staff is very professional, the players have a great excitement for poker, and the venue is excellent. We highly recommend all poker players make the trip to Seneca at some point in their careers, and what better time to go than for the $200,000 guarantee Main Event?"

This year, the Main Event buy-in has been lowered to $1,000, and that should allow more amateurs the chance to play the event while also providing the four-figure-buy-in feel that more experienced players really look for nowadays. The amount of entries should definitely increase over the 149 that played in the event last year — an event that was won by Andy Spears for $52,410.

Also on the schedule is a $125 No-Limit Hold'em event with a big $50,000 guarantee. That event features six starting days and will attract several hundred entries.
