Partypoker Releases Christmas-Themed Client Update
On Tuesday, Dec. 02, partypoker announced the release of a major update of its online poker client. According to a note issued by the room, the update will make cash games, sit-and-go tournaments, multi-table tournaments, and fastforward games unavailable between 02:00 CET and 08:30 CET.
The client update will allow partypoker players to give a "Christmas touch" to their games with a new theme available until early Jan. 2015.
The new theme, which will be available only for the partypoker.com client, includes a new Christmas-themed skin for the client’s main lobby, the table felt, and for the player’s avatar.
Together with the new festive skin, the update introduces also a number of new features that should offer a better access to the partypoker’s Casual Cash Games from the client’s lobby, and a better overview of the tournament tickets owned by a player thanks to the inclusion of a new specific column.
Other changes include the fact that, right after the update, all cash game blinds will be auto posted "to allow a smoother and quicker transition from sitting at the table to start of play," and players will finally be able to use the enter button on the keyboard to bet or raise an amount.
This is the 10th significant update of partypoker’s client since the beginning of 2014. During the previous months, the poker room worked hard to offer a smoother playing experience to its players and at the same time also give them an easy access to party's casino games.
