New Jersey's biggest winner over the weekend came in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee, with Bobby Oboodi (pictured) beating out a field of 212 players to win an even $10,000.
This tournament failed to meet its guarantee with many New Jersey players taking the week off after the Garden State Super Series (GSSS) II ended its 69-event schedule last Sunday, and with many players reporting connectivity problems both this and last weekend.
Jesse "NoXcape" Elliot finished in second place in the tournament for $6,800, and "phatdaddy" finished in third place for $4,950, adding to his over $3 million in online cashes tracked on PocketFives.com.
In other news, the $40,000 GTD Weekly Sunday on WSOP.com NJ and 888poker NJ was reduced this past weekend to a $25,000 GTD Weekly Sunday, and failed to meet the lower guarantee with 121 players participating. "JTurn15" finished on top of this tournament for $7,000 beating "njdevs1" heads-up who earned $4,050 for his efforts.
The big winner on 888poker NJ over the weekend was Daniel "centrfieldr5" Lupo, who took down The Big Sunday for $3,200. With only 44 runners ponying up the $200 entry fee, this tournament also featured some overlay adding some value to those that cashed in this tournament.
