NBC Sports Network to Air 13 Episodes of Super High Roller Bowl Poker Championship

2015 Super High Roller Bowl

From July 2-4, the Super High Roller Bowl, a $500,000 buy-in tournament featuring some of the world's most accomplished players, will take place at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. As if that tournament isn't going to be big enough, it just got a boost as Poker Central, the world’s only 24/7 Poker TV network, and the NBC Sports Group announced that NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will air 13 episodes of the tournament from Wednesday, July 29 through Saturday, October 3.

"We are excited to bring this new world championship poker event to NBCSN," Jon Miller, President of Programming for NBC Sports and NBCSN, said in a press release. "With top poker players competing for an expected $25 million prize pool, the Super High Roller Bowl will make for compelling programming."

Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Scott Seiver, and Sam Trickett are among the pros that've committed to the event, which is projected to offer a prize pool of $25 million. It's also worth noting the annual tournament will take no tournament fees and is open to anyone willing to pony up the buy-in.

"NBCSN is a great channel full of exciting shows for dedicated fans of the sporting world," said Clint Stinchcomb, chief executive officer of Poker Central. "We are thrilled to be a part of their lineup."

This isn't the first time NBC Sports Group has hosted a poker show. Both Poker After Dark and the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship have aired on the network.
