Due to the Independence Day weekend, partypoker NJ and BorgataPoker.com reduced most of their guaranteed prize pools, including the Sunday $50,000 Guarantee being dropped to a $40,000 guarantee, and the Daily $10K being reduced to the Daily $7.5K. WSOP.com NJ and 888poker NJ chose not adjust their guarantees, despite many New Jersey poker players spending time outdoors or in Las Vegas for the start of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event.
Artim "AcesZhuited" Zhuta was the Garden State's biggest winner over the weekend, hauling in $9,625 after outlasting 141 runners in the WSOP.com/888poker NJ Sunday $35,000 Guarantee. New Jersey's "Mona121" banked $5,600 for taking second place in that tournament, while it was Maureen "HotRedMomma" Ludwig taking home $3,185 for finishing in third place.
Meanwhile, "ill_advised" had a big payday, shipping $8,140 after beating out a 220-player field in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee. "Talk5050" padded his bankroll with $5,535 for finishing in second, and "ChekyoRaySon" won $4,029 for finishing in third place.
Over at 888poker NJ, it was Leo "luckyleo80" August finishing on top of the 41-player field in The Big Sunday for $3,200. Here are this week's results:
