Hollywood Poker Open Toledo Regional Main Event Begins Friday

Hollywood Poker Open

The Hollywood Poker Open Season 4 is well underway, and this coming weekend marks the second Regional Main Event of the season as the tour has rolled into Toledo, Ohio.

The $1,115 Main Event kicks off Friday at 11:15 a.m. local time and carries a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. As usual, tour ambassador and 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker will be in attendance and PokerNews will be on hand to provide live reporting.

The Main Event follows more than a week of tournament action that featured a number of events with buy-ins of $300 or less. Check out the full schedule here.

If turnout is anything like last season, the guarantee should be easily surpassed as 288 players showed out in an event that saw six players chop up the prize pool late on Day 2 with local player Charles Maxcy taking home $37,465 and a $2,500 seat to the season-ending HPO Championship in Las Vegas.

Season 4 of the HPO began late last year with HPO Lawrenceburg, where Josh Lowing headlined a three-way chop for $33,907 and the official first-place finish out of a 229-player field.
